Your Counting Skills Resources

Print out our 'Counting Songs' sheet as a reminder of number songs to sing with your child - you could pin it to your fridge to sing together as you’re cooking!
Our second number songs sheet will give your child a head start when they begin to look at subtraction at school - counting backwards from 10 is a key skill.
Print out and feed Dot together to help your child practise one-to-one correspondence. The food disks are designed to be put inside milk bottle caps to help them last longer (you could also laminate Dot’s head for durability). As your child’s understanding develops you could try some simple maths, for example: How much food would Dot have for tea if she ate all the sausages and all the potatoes? How many sausages would Dot have if she gave you three?
